Healthy trees and shrubs need more than the occasional trim. Verdure Lawncare Services handles pruning, disease treatment, and seasonal upkeep so the woody plants across your Ankeny, IA property stay full, sturdy, and around for the long run.
How It Works
The gap between plants that just get by and plants that really flourish
Trees and shrubs tend to outlast almost everything else on a property, yet they're often the part homeowners think about least. Left unattended, limbs grow toward the roofline, disease can spread quietly under the canopy, and shrubs slowly lose the shape that made them stand out in the first place. Our care visits in Ankeny, IA start with a close look at every tree and shrub on-site, checking for weak growth points, pest activity, and the early signs of disease before they become bigger problems.
Pruning is never just a quick trim for us, every cut has a reason behind it. We clear out deadwood, fix crossing branches, and shape growth so the plant can hold up under wind and storms. Sloppy pruning is one of the fastest ways to weaken a tree over time, so our crew uses cuts that support the plant's own healing rather than leaving open wounds that invite infection.
When it comes to disease and pests, we start by watching closely. Problems like fungal spotting or an early insect issue are often manageable if we catch them before they spread further. Rather than a blanket treatment, we pinpoint what's actually affecting your plants and treat that specific issue.
Seasonal upkeep ties the whole program together, fertilizer applied when roots are active, mulch that keeps soil temperature and moisture steady, and a plan that shifts as the calendar does. A shrub that needs a hard prune in late winter calls for something totally different come July, and we adjust every visit to what the plant needs right then.
